Rick Howington retires after 28 years
Rick Howington Retiring
Rick Howington, our wonderful campus security monitor, will be retiring following the ‘21-’22 school year..
Rick started working at Jesuit in 1993, and has been an important part of our community ever since.
One of the main reasons Rick has decided to retire is to be with his family.
“I’ve always had an interest in the East Coast. Our daughter moved to South Carolina and our son moved to Tennessee. That being said, there is not much keeping me here,” Howington said.
After Rick moves, he plans to work on his 1967 RS/SS Camaro and take in some new, more humid scenery on the East coast.
Rick said he really enjoyed his time at Jesuit and he is ready to start a new chapter of his life, but would still miss being involved with the community.
“Absolutely, 150,000%. 28 years and I still love coming into work every day. If I’m having a rough day, I come here, see you guys, and then it’s a good day. The kids here make my life.”
The time that Rick has spent at Jesuit is very important to him, and he will treasure the memories he’s made here for the rest of his life.
“My experience here has just been amazing, retreats, pilgrimages, all the kids, the sporting events, the highs, the lows, and how we’re better than everyone else,” Howington said.
