Jesuit Chronicle

Who are we?

Jesuitnews.com is a non-profit, high school student-run website that combines the work of The Jesuit Chronicle, JCTV and Jesuit photography. Jesuit Chronicle, formerly Jesuit Crusader, is the student newspaper of Jesuit High school, Portland, Oregon. We publish 4 issues each school year as well as produce this website. We combine the effort of three classes–Fundamentals of Media Production, Advanced Media Production, and Photography and Graphic Design–to create content for the website as well as our YouTube channel (@JCTV) and our social media platforms (@jesuithsmedia). For inquiries, contact Mr. Falkner.

Jesuit High School is a Catholic, college-preparatory school in the Jesuit tradition. It serves students of all religious faiths. Jesuit education fosters the harmonious development of the adolescent’s gifts: spiritual, religious, intellectual, physical, emotional, and aesthetic. Jesuit High School hopes to accomplish this development by demonstrating a personal concern for individuals, a special concern for the poor, an articulate wisdom, enthusiasm, and a sense of community.

jesuitnews.com supports Jesuit High School’s mission by disseminating to the Jesuit community pertinent and timely news and feature stories. jesuitnews.com enhances the print edition of Jesuit Crusader by engaging the Jesuit high school community around the world and furthering the ideas posed within its articles through links to credible and relevant websites. Additionally, it seeks to form communities with Jesuit and non-Jesuit institutions interested in the meaningful exchange of ideas. With rapid changes in technology and communications, jesuitnews.com offers our students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge about the evolving world of online journalism. jesuitnews.com will be updated almost daily, depending on content availability.
