Mr. Peevyhouse is a new student teacher for Mr. Yanosy at Jesuit High School. However, he is not new to the Jesuit Community.

“I’ve coached baseball for the last four years so I’m well versed in all things Jesuit. I’ve also been around most of the students for a handful of years now,” Peevyhouse said.

Mr. Peevyhouse is experienced with the Ignatian teachings and knows the welcoming and spirited community of Jesuit. He creates an inclusive and safe environment in the classroom for his students to be unique. He values individuality in each and every student who walks through the door.

What classes will you teach this year?

I am a student teacher with Mr. Yanosy’s English classes: English III for juniors and Mythic and Modern for seniors.

What excites you about teaching at Jesuit?

The entire atmosphere at Jesuit, both students and teachers, they’re all awesome to be around and they make it very welcoming.

What is something the community should know about you?

The community should know that I’ve been around Jesuit for five years now because I’ve coached baseball for the last four years so I am well versed in all things Jesuit. I’ve also been around most of the students for a handful of years now.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

One of my college professors helped me get my undergrad degree and pursue English. He said that patterns in writing are a problem. If your writing is repetitive then it becomes dry and boring to read. Keep things interesting.
