Mrs. Kuenz currently teaches physics in room 18, but will be moving into a new role next year.

Mrs. Kuenz, physics teacher and Associate Director of Ecological Justice and Global Networking at Jesuit, has accepted a new position at Jesuit for the upcoming school year. Kuenz will be the new Ignatian Formation director and will no longer teach physics.

She sees this opportunity as a way to “help build community within our school and to help our faculty and staff better understand our mission,” Kuenz said.

Her goal is to form teachers that can effectively form students with this in mind.

Kuenz is well known by the community to be passionate about environmental education and justice.

“The position overlaps well with what I currently do because I work with our Global Network of Jesuit schools, and I work with our ecological justice. Those are huge parts of our mission,” Kuenz said.

She hopes to dig deeper into this aspect of the Jesuit mission as she takes on her new role at Jesuit.

“I feel super happy and grateful to have had her as my teacher, and she’s taught me so much more than just physics,” sophomore in physics, Shannon Broughton, said.
