Porter Malkiel, Video Producer and Editor
Porter Malkiel is a senior here at Jesuit High School. He is interested in things that happen around the school behind the scenes in sports teams. What happens in practices and what the players are really like. He thinks it would be neat for people not only to see what happens on Friday nights but what happens throughout the week preparing for big games. He looks forward to filming practices and games for all Jesuit sports. Porter will be focusing on making sports videos and clips showing off Jesuit athletics. His biggest hobby outside of school is lacrosse, which takes up a lot of his time and he has made a lot of great relationships and friendships through it. In the summer, he likes to golf and cliff jump (into water).
Jace Burton, Staff Writer
Jace Burton is a junior at Jesuit High School. Creative, enthusiastic, and humorous are three ways in which he would describe himself. He plays football, and attends track practice on occasion. His first taste of media came from his father, who happens to be an analyst and commentator for the PAC 12 network. As a younger child, his father brought him to San Francisco, to learn about PAC 12 media, and he has loved it ever since. Outside of school, he likes to play football, workout, hang out with friends. He also enjoys to boat and jet ski. Jace finds interest in interviews and commentating, as he is more passionate when talking, and interacting with others. Outside of his common hobbies, Jace enjoys cooking, and brainstorming clothing designs. He is very excited to dive deeper into the media world, and this years Fundamentals of Media class.
Matias Crespo, Director of Videography
Matias Crespo, who is half Ecuadorian, is a senior who has a passion for videography and Journalism. Matias is especially interested in working on documentaries that highlight different events and moments at Jesuit High School. He enjoys writing articles on sports and new teachers in the community. A student who is hoping to pursue this form of videography in college, brings a unique form of dedication and energy to the classroom to continue to get better and help others. His hobbies include filmmaking and Cross Country which is another activity that he is involved with at Jesuit. This is Matias’s second year running in the Advanced class, and is hoping to fill the role of a leader and produce new forms of media.
