On Tuesday, September 12th, varsity women’s soccer had a Media Day organized by Jesuit Media.
This was the first time varsity women’s soccer had a Media Day. Senior Hudson Rommel served as the photographer, senior Soleil Scott was the videographer, and senior Kayla Chan interviewed each player and asked them similar questions. All of the participants were excited. The team had photos and videos taken of them.
“My favorite part of media day is probably the photos and seeing everyone take their photos is super fun,” junior Taylor Rusina-Luzietti said.
Each athlete posed for multiple shots and encouraged each other during the shoot. They had a fun time watching the others get their photos and videos taken.
To encourage each other to succeed in a “scream” pose, they all joined in.
“It’s been really fun listening to everyone do the scream,” junior Evelyn Guilfoyle said.
So far, their season has gone well, having won all five of the games they’ve played. The team is tight-knit and have pre-game rituals they love partaking in together.
“I love our team culture. Our team is so bonded, and I love everyone,” sophomore Maeve Thomas said .
