Kaitlin Speer ‘19, Jesuit alumni and recent graduate of Whitworth University with a degree in international studies and minors in Spanish and communications, is the newest addition to the Jesuit CLARC.
After the departure of Mr. Orazio, Ms. Speer will take on the position of testing coordinator. The role includes scheduling the PACT, PSAT, and AP testing and helping with makeup tests.
In addition to her work as a Jesuit faculty member, Speer also coaches the women’s JV 2 Gold soccer team. She previously coached for the Timbers youth soccer teams and wants to expand her horizons to coach for older kids.
Growing up in Oregon, she has always loved outdoor activities and Jesuit activities and events.
“At Jesuit, I played on the soccer team and also ran hurdles for the track team and was involved in campus ministry. I led a ewe my senior year and was very involved with running the food drive around Christmas time. And I would really love to be engaged in both of those activities again.”
With the familiarity of being an alumni, she already feels a part of the community after 3 weeks.
“I definitely missed it when I was away at college and it’s great being back here; it’s a very fun dynamic,” Speer said.
