Last Thursday, the women’s soccer team mercy ruled fifteenth ranked Beaverton.
The Crusaders started the game off strong with a goal from junior Ana Kubiaczyk less than a minute into the game.
Junior Marian Dunne followed in the ninth minute with a goal from a corner and the fourteenth minute off a ball from Ana Kubiaczyk.
Senior Hanna Slama and freshman Estelle Lee finished the half with two more goals off of passes from Kubiaczyk and junior Peyton Andreas.
Senior Kaitlyn MacLennan played her first minutes this season coming off of knee surgeries and contributed with an assist in the second half to junior Lane Lee.
“It felt really good to be back on the field with my teammates. I’m especially looking forward to getting some playing time on senior night and hopefully some time in playoffs,” said MacLennan.
Only three minutes later, Dunne cut the ball back to find sophomore Natalie Webber in the box to make the score 7-0.
The final goal came from freshman center back Eva Stiles off of a corner from Dunne, ending the game with
Dunne contributed with a total of two goals and two assists.
“I think we played really well. I think through these last few games our chemistry has been growing more on and off the field and we’re finding more success,” said Dunne.
With a strong season so far, the Crusaders look to claim the Metro League title next week.
