Peyton Bechtold, Staff
Peyton Bechtold is currently a sophomore at Jesuit High School. She has always had a passion for journalism and photography, and hopes to expand her skills in this new class. Peyton was inspired by her older brother, who took media last year, to sign up for the class. He enjoyed the writing aspect of it and being able to share his opinions with the Jesuit community. This year Peyton hopes to use photography to capture important moments within the school like the drama productions, football games, and spirit assemblies. She is also interested in working within the sports scene to film videos for teams. Last year Jesuit Media filmed “Mic’d Up” at her lacrosse practice and she was very impressed with all the filming and editing that went into it. Peyton is very excited to now be a part of that same community. In Peyton’s free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, taking her dog on walks, and playing sports. In the fall she plays volleyball and in the spring she is on the varsity lacrosse team. She also enjoys playing pickleball, swimming, and hanging out with her sisters. Peyton is excited to share articles with the Jesuit community and have her opinions heard!
Emery Hefeneider, Staff
Emery Hefeneider is currently a sophomore at Jesuit High School and a first year media student. Emery was born in Portland, Oregon as well as her older sister who is a Junior at Jesuit, and her younger brother who will be a future crusader. Emery is playing lacrosse in the spring and outside of school she enjoys spending time with her friends, soaking up the sun, and playing cards! Throughout these past few years, Emery has developed an interest in writing and filming through Jesuits social media. She is excited to go further with these skills throughout the school year. Emery is inspired from past media students, and wants to create content based on recent problems and activities going on in the Jesuit community. Emery is intrigued on taking media to focus and emphasize the strengths and struggles of being a Jesuit student. She is hoping to take advanced media production next year and bring her creative ideas to the class.
