For Lake Oswego, Harrison Smith, Hudson Giboney, and Caden Gerritz. To end this game, there was a late walk off double from the Lakers pulling them ahead 7-6.
Nichols felt that “going into the game our guys felt pretty confident. We knew they were a good team and that it was going to be a scrappy game, but we as a team are pretty confident we can compete with any team in the state.”

The score remained 6-0 throughout the rest of the innings. Pitching for the Crusaders were seniors Johnny Ingals, Colby Lipp and Grady Keljo. From Mountain View, Ryder Carpenter and Tanner Loch.
Looking ahead to the rest of the season, the Crusaders will continue to face challenging teams. Rolling is optimistic when it comes to facing competition: “Our next big competitor will be sunset, who we play in week two of metro league play. Playing them last year left a bad feeling for us and we are hungry to get back. They have some decent arms, but I think we can compete with anybody and I’m excited to play them.”
The Crusaders are now 5-2 and will begin league play on April 14th as they will host the Mountainside Mavericks.
