Week of April 28th to May 2nd
Going into this week of 3 Metro League matches, Junior Varsity doubles player, James Kennedy had this to say for their upcoming week.
“The men’s tennis team organization has seen all the hard work paying off in our recent matches. We went on the the road to South Eugene last week and secured the win”
On Monday April 28th, the Crusaders faced the Sunset Apollos.
With this being the longest match of the year, Jesuit turned this into the match of the year. The Crusaders started off hot with multiple singles and doubles wins. Sophomore Logan Amen started his singles match with a first set 6-3 win over the number 2 single at Sunset. The second set didn’t go as well, which he lost 5-7. This third set would go on over the next day. Logan Amen kept going at it in his match. This third set would go on for too long so it was pushed to the next day. On Tuesday April 29th, he won the third set with a demanding 6-0 win. This match shows the fight and capability that the Crusaders have. The Crusader won this match 7-1.
On Wednesday April 30th, Jesuit faced the Westview Wildcats.
Going into this match Westview and Jesuit were both top ranked teams in the state. The Crusaders have a great win against the Wildcats winning 7-1. The highlight of this match was the number 1 Doubles match with Junior Justin Ebramsyah and freshman Ben Lee. This duo went on to have a three set battle against a high Westview Doubles 1. This three set win solidified these two to be a top doubles team in Metro.
On Friday May 2nd, Jesuit faced the Beaverton Beavers at home for the last match of the week.
There is not much to say about this match other than no team or player dropped a single set against the Beavers. Jesuit sent the Beavers home nice and quick. The Crusaders had no trouble with the Beavers.
Jesuit now goes into the second round of Metro League Matches with a still perfect undefeated record. Jesuit has no plan for letting off the gas until they get to hoist that state championship banner in the rafters.
Week April 21st-25th
So far the Crusaders have had a perfect record and had no trouble against their competition. They now are starting into Metro Play, and soon into the playoffs.
The Jesuit High School Men’s Tennis team had demanding wins over Aloha, South Eugene, and Mountainside.
On Monday April 21st, Jesuit traveled to Aloha and took an 8-0 win over at the Warriors house.
They kicked the match off with multiple doubles and singles wins over the Warriors. The Crusaders slide by Aloha with ease.
On Wednesday April 23rd, the Crusaders went all the way down to South Eugene, to take on the Axes.
They had a great win, winning 7-1. Compared to Aloha, this match was not a shutout. Doubles partners Teddy Wang and Jordan Juang won their match 6-3, and 6-0. Singles star Tristain Hernandez did his usual thing and took control over his singles match. The highly ranked player in Oregon proves himself more and more every day. That score summarizes the match. Jesuit went on to destroy every match except for one singles match which they lost in a tie break. Overall another great win for Jesuit.

On Friday April 25, the Crusaders traveled to Mountainside, to face the Mavericks. The Crusaders had another big time win which was 8-0 against the Mavericks. Tristan Hernandez had another stellar performance in singles 1, against a strong Mountain side singles number 1.With another shutout win the Doubles 3 partners Jordan Juang, and Teddy Wang took down the Mavericks Doubles 3 players. Doubles 1, 2, and 4 all wrapped up their matches quickly securing all the doubles wins for the Crusaders. These players were 4: Nic Arnot, Kai Sales, 2: Patrick Doherty, Mathew Wang, and 1: Ben Lee and Justin Ebramshyah.
Jordan Juang had this to say after the Crusaders swept their competition this week.
“Three wins behind us. We’ve set the pace, now we don’t slow down,” said Jordan Juang ‘26.

Even though Jesuit performed spectacularly, there is still plenty of work to be done continuing Metro League play. The Crusaders have no plans to slow down. They stay on track continuing for that back-to-back state title.
