The Jesuit men’s Lacrosse team delivered a powerhouse performance last weekend, cruising through all three teams. Starting with a blowout on the road playing against Aloha/Southridge. Next, dominating Seattle Prep and Bellarmine Prep at home. The Crusaders showcased their relentless offense and lockdown defense despite key players being out due to injury.
On Friday, April 25th The crusaders were on the road facing the Aloha/Southridge combined team at Aloha HIgh School. Jesuit dominated, crushing their opponent and taking control of the game immediately after the faceoff. Jesuit finished the game scoring an outstanding 19 goals to Aloha/Southridge’s 3 goals.
On Saturday, April 26th Jesuit faced Seattle Prep which would be a more challenging opponent. Junior A.J Bayne has this to say after their game against Seattle Prep,
“We knew it was going to be a tough matchup because our team has been battling injuries, but our players stepped up and delivered”
Despite players not participating due to injury, the crusaders delivered another dominant performance against one of the top lacrosse teams in Seattle. Jesuit scored an exceptionally high 14 goals to Seattle Prep’s 3 goals.
On Sunday, April 27th Jesuit faced their third opponent of the weekend, Bellarmine Prep. The Crusaders went into this game with confidence after their outstanding performances the past two days.
The Crusaders put on a clinic, displaying their elite offense, scoring 19 goals, while keeping Bellarmine Prep to 5 goals led by senior goalie Trace Spreen.
Senior Ryan Jack talks about the weekend saying,
“I think that we were able to play up to our potential this past weekend. Trace Spreen was able to step up in a major way in goal for both games. A couple challenges we faced this past weekend was the heat. Three games in three days really forced everyone to play together which helped us play to our potential”
Jesuit Dominates Sunset to Claim the Metro League Title
The Jesuit men’s Lacrosse team secured a decisive win against the Sunset Apollos in a highly anticipated matchup for the Metro League Title.
On Tuesday, May 6th The Jesuit Crusaders took on the Sunset Apollos at Cronin Field. From the opening face-off, Jesuit set the tone taking control early in the game. Junior middy, Elliot Hire scored an outstanding 4 goals in the first half to give Jesuit momentum into the next half.
Elliot Hire had this to say about the first half,
“We started off pretty slow in the first quarter but the second we started to run our own things and played our own game”
Jesuit did not let up in the second half, maintaining their intensity and dominance on both ends of the field. The Crusaders offense fired on all cylinders, ultimately ending with an impressive 17 goals to the Sunset Apollos 5 goals.
The win over Sunset secured Jesuit’s fourth metro league title in a row, giving the Crusaders momentum heading into postseason play, in the attempt to win their fourth consecutive state title.

“We had a lot of players out due to injury and sickness, but our players rose to the challenge. We felt good winning metro league and continuing our our winning streak, but the overall goal is winning state”
