Every year across Jesuit fall sports a senior night occurs. But what does senior night look like and mean to the different fall sports?
On our first in-state women’s soccer team, they have many traditions but for senior midfielder Ana Kubiaczyk, a tradition special to her was a video recapping each senior’s soccer journey.
“It brings back lots of memories and is a fun tradition that we all enjoy.”
For Jesuit’s top ten ranked football team, senior night was a little different. Filled with a unique and diverse roster of 31 seniors every member of the class of 2026 and more were able to get their special moment.
“Senior night was amazing because not only was it a celebration for us, but a celebration for our program. It was also great to see everyone on the team contribute to our win, and the excitement was like no other,” senior linebacker and running back, Damian Hernandez-Parra said.
6-rotational outside senior Jada Johnson shared more of what it truly means to be senior on varsity playing for Jesuit defending state championship volleyball team.
“Senior night honestly means so much to me because of the girls. It just represents us passing the torch to them and they do a great job of celebrating us and making us feel special.”
For our defending state men’s soccer team it was all about the family, community, and support.
“I loved the senior night traditions because it was great to see my family before the game and it was a great time to thank all the people who contributed to my soccer career. It was also so much fun to just enjoy playing soccer with my friends and this team for one of the final times,” senior midfielder Luke Hanna-Choquette shared.
