Lucia Barone, Staff
Dedicated and hardworking, Lucia Barone is a sophomore attending Jesuit High School who is just getting introduced to the world of media. Lucia is interested in writing about issues that can be found in Jesuit’s community but also go beyond, affecting our nation and our world. She wants to write about issues including climate change, social justice, new scientific discoveries, as well as other worldwide conflicts and events. Lucia lives in Lake Oswego with her parents and her older brother. She has two dogs, a Goldendoodle named McKenzie and an Australian Labradoodle named Sophie. She and her family love to hang out with her dogs, go swimming with them in the Willamette, and bring them on hikes and trips. Outside of school, Lucia enjoys doing a multitude of activities including: reading, baking, track and field, LEGOs, and spending time with her family, friends, and dogs. Her friends would describe her as loyal, adventurous, inquisitive, ambitious, and kind. Lucia enjoys traveling the world and learning about different histories and cultures. Some of her favorite places she has traveled to are Costa Rica, Belize, and Ireland and she hopes to visit many more countries in her lifetime. Overall, Lucia is looking forward to learning the art of media through photography, videography, and journalism.
