Marissa Keys is currently a sophomore at Jesuit High School entering her first year in Jesuit Media. She is excited to take Fundamentals of Media, and wants to refine her photo and video skills. Outside of school, one of Marissa’s main focuses is ballet, which she has been doing since age 5. The experience she has in ballet taught her the importance of hard work and consistency among many other things, which will all help her growth in Fundamentals of Media. In her free time, Marissa loves to spend time with friends and family, play with her dog, bake, and read. She lives with her mom, dad, and younger brother in Beaverton. She also enjoys doing things outside in the many beautiful places Oregon has to offer. Her favorite way to spend a weekend is camping on the Oregon coast. During Marissa’s freshman year at Jesuit, she enjoyed attending many sporting events and assemblies that motivated her to take on a more active role in the Jesuit community. By taking Fundamentals of Media, Marissa hopes to help connect the student body in addition to bringing more stories about Jesuit to the public, with a focus on sports and student life.
