Thatcher Killian, Staff Writer

Thatcher Killian is a junior at Jesuit High School and a first-year student in the fundamentals of media production class. He decided to apply for the class because he saw firsthand the importance of the media during the COVID-19 pandemic and wanted to learn more about the ins and outs of journalism. He is mainly interested in writing about athletic events and student-led activities at Jesuit. He looks forward to announcing Jesuit soccer and volleyball games and wants to try his hand at filming other Jesuit sports. When not focusing on his academics, Thatcher enjoys playing for the Jesuit lacrosse team and hopes to one day play in college. Outside of school life, he loves spending time with his friends, whether that be swimming, playing spike ball, or doing another activity. Thatcher delights in hiking, biking and just being outdoors. Thatcher’s two sisters, Kendall and Skylar, are two of his best friends, and he also has a dog named Patch. He and his family spend a lot of time traveling to unique destinations together, especially in the summer. In the future, Thatcher hopes to play Division 1 lacrosse and receive a college education at a college located on the east coast.
