Lily Appleyard, Staff Writer
Lily Appleyard is 16 years old and starting her 3rd year at Jesuit High School. Lily, her sister, parents, two dogs and cat live in Lake Oswego. Before living in Lake Oswego, Lily and her family lived in Vermont for the early years of her life. Both Lily’s parents originate from the East Coast which has become a big part of Lily’s life. The majority of her extended family lives in Cape Cod, Massachusetts and that place has become a second home for Lily. Her friends and family would describe her as funny, kind and outgoing. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her friends, listening to music, playing basketball and spending time with her parents and her two labs. Another key thing that should be known about Lily is she has a huge love for sports. She loves watching them and playing them, and when she is older she wants to have a career involving sports. This is her first year of journalism and she is open to trying new things. Because of her love for sports, she is interested in writing and making videos about Jesuit sports. She is also interested in writing about student life and intriguing topics facing the Jesuit community. Lily is very excited for her first year in media and hopes to try and learn a lot of new things.
